Siquijor, Philippines

2:54:00 AM

One of the best place I've ever been!

People (Filipinos) think that Siquijor is a mysterious place with witch-craft. Well, it might be true because when you experience the beauty of Siquijor para ka naring na gayuma at gusto mo ng ulit ulitin ang pag bisita doon! 😉

Siquijor is located in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines, Siquijor is locally known as ‘Esla del Fuego’, or the island of fire, not because of a raging volcano but because of its mystical fireflies. (According to google 😂)

Around 5am we went to Dumaguete port, and the first ferry trip going to Siquijor is 5:30 am and almost an hour and a half yung travel kaya pwede ka muna matulog. It cost 170 pesos and 15 pesos for terminal fee. 😁

We hired a tour guide and promise sobrang sulit thanks to him because we explored the beauty of Siquijor for whole day only! I will also give his name and contact number here. 😀

First stop!
Photo op at Siquijor signage 💢

Next stop:
Paliton Beach 💛

The beach is super nice and the water is very calm. Sobrang na overwhelm ako sa ganda nung sand (tho muka lang dirty dahil sa mga seaweed). The beach is open to public so wala kang need bayaran na fee.

We badly want to swim na there but since we have to maximize our time and mas hassle kung basa kaming mag tour kaya photo op nalang ulit.

One of the highlights in Paliton beach are the lovely coconut palms along the beach. Instagram worthy na plus sobrang relaxing yung vibes niya. 😌

Next stop:
Enchanted old balete tree with fish spa.

For only 10 pesos you'll enjoy the fish spa with the twist bakit twist? Meron kasi doon na kasing laki ng tilapia na hihigupin din yung paa mo 😂 To tell you honestly nakakatakot talaga siya kaya goodluck sa pag iwas nalang para di niya mahagip yung paa niyo. 😁😂

Next stop:
Capilay Spring Park

Photo op lang din dito since masyado ng mainit para tumambay sa park.

Next stop:
Broomshot challenge

Sa gitna ng init mag jumpshot ka but it was really fun. and shempre hindi lang broom yung pupuntahan mo dun may very nice view at garden sila dun. Walang exact fee kasi donation lang ang need nila. Sure naman ako malaki ang bibigay niyo dahil sulit naman siya and masaya 😂

Instagram worthy talaga ang bawat view sa Siquijor! 💚

Next stop:
Old church and convent

Since ginagawa yung Old church dito lang kami nakapag picture sa convent. You can enter inside for 10 pesos only lang ata and hindi na namin tinry dahil masaya na kaming mag take pictures sa labas.

Highlight of the day:
Cambugahay Falls

It is one of the many precious waterfalls in the Island wherein a large number of tourist enjoys its fascinating atmosphere. Even locals within the island, enjoy spending their time in the mystical waterfall together with their family and friends. The Falls  can be reached via 135 steps going down.

For only 20 pesos you can unli try and play the "tarzan swing" if hindi ka marunon mag swim its okay! Nag paparent din sila ng life vest it only cost 100 pesos (tipid tips: pwede namang isa lang irent niyo then mag hiraman na lang kayo 😉)

free massage from the falls also! 😁 May part na hindi malalim so you can enjoy it kahit na hindi ka marunong mag swim.

Time to swim!
Salagdoon beach and Cliff jump

Day tour fee is only 35 pesos each kaya pwede ka ng mag babad all day long. Our tour guide also said na dito talaga mostly nag swim ang mga turista.

And ofcourse isang reason bakit siya dinadayo is because of the cliff diving! It has two cliff jumps, one that’s 20 feet (6 meters) and one that’s 35 feet (11 meters) high, depending on the tide of course.

Wasn't able to try jumping here kaya pose nalang! (confuse pako sa sarili ko kulang pa ng lakas ng loob tumalon at wala rin ako kasama so... 😂)

We stayed here for morthan an hour since pagod na rin kami mag swim dahil sa falls.

Our last stop:
Molave Manmade Mangroves

well you'll be surprised because this mangrove is manmade and it was beautiful. I was also waiting for the crocodile to appear here (kidding!)

After that we head back to Dumaguete. 😊
